Meet Carol

Carol arrived (again) as our pastor in January 2024.   She had previously served at Park Hill as the transitional pastor and is delighted to return!   After teaching in the public schools in SC for 14 years, she went to Seminary where she met her husband Mark who was also a Seminary student.     She was first ordained in a small church in SC.   She served as pastor of Wimberley Presbyterian Church in Texas for 7 years and most recently was pastor of Unity Presbyterian Church in Denver, NC for 15 years.   For 3 years she worked with churches in Arkansas Presbytery as Presbytery 'Builder,' but knows that her 'place' is working with, praying with and dreaming with a congregation.     She preaches with a narrative style, spinning stories of everyday life and faith into the exploration of the scriptures.    She plays the piano, has led and sung in choirs for years and works to weave all kinds of music into the flow of worship.   One of her favorite things to do is to visit people in their homes, see their pictures and hear their stories.      Her husband Mark Clark is a trial attorney, minister in the PCUSA and is currently an adjunct professor at Bowen School of Law in Little Rock.
